Golf Warm Up Exercises

5 Great exercises to warm up with before your next round, designed by our golf health professional Matt. 

 

1. Hip Rotations

The hips move and rotate during your back swing and follow through, they need to be mobile and strong for an efficient golf swing. Don’t be stiff on that first tee shot, try this warm up exercise out before your next game!


2. Assisted Squats

The legs are used for strength, power and stability in a golf swing. Squats strengthen and stabilise all the muscles in your legs. Want to improve your golf performance? Try this warm up exercise out before your next game!

3. Above and Below

The golf club moves high and low through out your back swing, at impact, and follow through. This whole body warm up activates specific muscles used in your golf swing. Try it out before your next game!

4. Side Lunge

The legs need to be strong and stable for consistent golf shots and distance off the tee. Reduce errors and hit fairways with this warm up exercise before your next game!

5. Forward Lunge with Rotation

The perfect golf specific warm up exercise. Your lower body and upper body work need to work separately and together for an efficient golf swing. Get bang for your buck with this exercise before your next game!
