Why this evening could change how you age
Getting older doesn’t have to mean slowing down, avoiding stairs, or giving up the things you love.
In this 45-60 minute session, you’ll learn how strength training and smart nutrition work together to help you:
Stay independent and confident in your body
Reduce aches, pains and injury risk
Keep doing the activities that matter – from travel to grand kids to sport
You’ll hear two short talks . One on strength, one on nutrition, followed by Q&A so you can ask what matters to you.
Strength for Longevity (with Michael Gilbert – Physio)
Why muscle and strength are key to healthy ageing
How to know if you’re “strong enough” for everyday life
Live demo of grip strength testing
How our force plates measure leg strength, balance and power
Simple at-home strength routine (no gym membership required)
Nutrition for Longevity (with Max – Nutrition)
The nutrients that support strong muscles, bones and energy
How much protein most adults actually need (with real food examples)
How to fuel around exercise and activity
Easy meal and snack ideas to support your long-term health
This evening is ideal if you:
- Want to stay active and independent as you age
- Feel like everyday tasks are getting a little harder than they used to
- Have been told to “get stronger” but don’t know where to start
- Are confused by all the nutrition advice out there
- Want clear, practical steps rather than fads or extremes
No prior fitness level required – come as you are.
